In their Serie A opener, Juventus secured a 3-0 victory against Como at the packed Allianz Stadium in Turin. This match marked coach Thiago Motta's official debut with the club.

Juventus extended their lead in first-half stoppage time through winger Timothy Weah, who fired home a Kenan Yildiz cross and saw the ball bounce in off the inside of the bar, and Andrea Cambiaso added the third from a distance just before fulltime.
Juventus, who finished third behind champions Inter Milan and AC Milan last season to secure their return to the Champions League following a year's absence, next travel to Hellas Verona on Aug. 26.
